Nothing To Do With The Police

This has got absolutely nothing to do with my job. I just hadn't heard it for ages and it made me smile. It's the sort of speach that I wish I was able to give, but I'm not nearly articulate enough.

I'd consider playing it to all the little sh*ts I deal with who take it upon themselves to cause me grief, but I doubt they'd have the concentration span to listen.

There you go, a Police reference! Hope you enjoy. I'm off to drink coffee.

Thank you so much for that.

You have no idea how apt that is for me.

Hope the coffee was good.

you just made my day listening to that

Me too, I'll second that anon. Thanks for sharing that with us TBL!! I agree with you though, most of the little er, sh*ts (your own wording, don't look at me like that!! haha) you deal with wouldn't have the concentration span to listen, sadly. Oh well. It's probably too good for them anyway.

Did you enjoy your coffee then?! By the way...is it true police officers drink a lot of coffee at the station? I hope so! I love coffee ;) Not black though! euurrrgghh it's horrible without milk!! ha ha...as you may have guessed by now, I'm very bored at the minute...hence the totally random nonsense!! Sorry about that.

I'd best leave you in peace now before you begin to think I've gone round the bend! =P

Oh and once again, brilliant video!!

Thanks Butters. Speaking for myself, I live on coffee! Easily six or eight cups per shift. You'll fit right in!

Six or eight cups PER SHIFT did you say?? Blimey! That's a lot of coffee! Much as I love it, I might be struggling to keep up with that amount!! ;)

Six or eight cups?! OMG! How do you manage not to bounce off the walls?

Personally, any more than 3, and I become manic bunny...it's not pretty.

I love this but can never remember what its called.
Ive just listened to it & it's put a big smile on my face after a rubbish day & a horrible conversation with somebody so thank you :o)

And 7 or 8 cups?!?! After 3 I get the shakes & start talking very fast & finding everything hilarious, it isn't good!
One more thing, what is that song called & who is by?

For some time the words were supposed to have been a commencement speech purportedly given by Kurt Vonnegut at MIT.

However the true source of the text was a newspaper column by Mary Schmich of the Chicago Tribune.

For a fuller rendering of the tale please read this.

Best wishes
